Lawn Mode
In addition to frost protection, the OpenSprinkler system in VineyardElf also supports automatic lawn irrigation.
Two operating modes
The sprinkler system operates in one of two modes:

| Lawn | Daily lawn watering on a schedule | July – September |
Lawn mode configuration
- Zones: Select which OpenSprinkler zones water the lawn (e.g., S05, S06, S08)
- Duration: Watering time per zone (default: 20 minutes)
- Start time: Schedule start time (default: 1:00 AM — minimal evaporation)
- Sequence: Zones run sequentially (one after another), not simultaneously
Switching modes
You can switch modes from the Sprinkler Panel (available in the VineyardElf menu):
- Open the Sprinkler Panel
- Click the Lawn or Frost button
- The system will automatically:
- Stop the active frost protection loop (if running)
- Set up the irrigation schedule (in lawn mode)
- Send an SMS notification about the mode change
Manual run
You can also trigger lawn irrigation manually — use the Water Lawn Now button in the panel. This will run sequential watering across all lawn zones.
